Highlights
This program prepares those interested in serving their community with a comprehensive curriculum that covers sociology, psychology, and other social science foundations. By the end of the program, students will be armed with the knowledge and skills to counsel and assist individuals (and their families) in personal and social situations. The practicum placement is optional, and students can graduate without placement.
Employment Opportunities
Graduates of this program can find employment opportunities in social service and government agencies, community centers, help centers, mental health agencies, group homes, shelters, substance abuse centers, school boards, correctional facilities, and other establishments.
